1. More than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying lifestyle. The lifestyle factors include cigarette smoking, diet (fried foods, red meat), alcohol, sun exposure, environmental pollutants, infections, stress, obesity, and physical inactivity.
2. Say no to TOBACCO Tobacco use is the single most important risk factor for cancer and is responsible for approximately 22% of cancer-related deaths globally.
3. 13% of the world’s adult population were obese in 2016. Raised BMI is a major risk factor for noncommunicable diseases and some cancers such as endometrial, breast, ovarian, prostate, liver, gallbladder, kidney, and colon.
